Hi, I’m Maggie
I craft delightful and user-friendly websites that empower small businesses and self-employed individuals to thrive in the digital landscape.
I’ve designed all kinds of websites — from therapists to interior designers, sports camps to dance studios. As a former social worker and User-Experience (UX) designer, I find joy in supporting my clients through the journey of bringing their business, and selves, online.
If you’re looking for someone who will take the time to understand your business, and has the skills and expertise to bring it to life with a website that truly reflects you, we’ll be a great fit!
What to expect
Building (or re-building!) a website can feel daunting, but my goal is to make it as seamless and fun as possible. Every website project is unique, but here’s an overview of the general process, so you know what to expect.
1. Initial consultion
This casual first meeting is an opportunity for us to get to know each other, and for me to learn about your vision for your website! We’ll discuss things like:
what you’re looking for
who will be using your site
what success looks like
pricing, timelines, contract, etc.
2. Website planning
In this collaborative session, we’ll brainstorm the visual look & feel of your website so I can get a better sense of your style and preferences. This will involve:
looking at example websites to discover what you like and don’t like
mapping out the website architecture, including what pages/sections you’ll need and desired functionality.
Don’t have the answers to this yet? That’s ok!! I’ll walk with you through every step of the process with plenty of examples and professional guidance.
3. Project kickoff
The project has begun! Together, we’ll:
set up your website on Squarespace
secure your domain name
make sure we’re aligned on the vision for your site
discuss any content I may need from you, such as photos, text, bios, etc.
4. Feedback & Iteration
Sit back and watch your site take form! This stage will involve:
several rounds of feedback as I continue to tweak every detail to your liking
collaborating on design decisions
filling in your website with content
I won’t stop until you are in love with your new website!
5. Training session
In this one-hour session, I’ll teach you how to make minor changes to your site, such as swapping a photo, editing text, adding new content, etc. The platform I use, Squarespace, makes it easy for even the least tech-y among us to edit their website.
6. Ongoing support
Your website should be able to grow and evolve with you and your business. In the future, I’ll be available to support you with whatever you need - from visual design changes, to the implementation of new pages, functionality, and integrations.
Her attention to detail is unmatched—every element of the website reflects our studio’s personality and mission perfectly. Maggie took the time to truly understand our vision and brought it to life... Not only is the site visually stunning, but it’s also user-friendly, functional, and thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of both our team and our clients.
